I knew early on that I wanted my life’s work to be using talk therapy to help others create change, feel stronger and more fulfilled, and to better their lives. I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY23973) in private practice in West Los Angeles. I graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating, I worked with at-risk children and their families at Hathaway Children & Family Services. I then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology degree from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University.
I have enjoyed my work with individuals, couples, and families in private practice and also throughout clinics in Los Angeles including AIDS Project Los Angeles, the Southern California Counseling Center, and the Wright Institute (WILA). At WILA, I completed a two-year certificate program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy focusing on long-term, insight-oriented therapy. Through these trainings, I developed skills to effectively work with diverse populations with a large variety of presenting problems including chronic mental illness, depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, life’s transitions, and identity development. I am also currently the President of the WILA Alumni Association.
I worked as a psychological assistant at the Family Resource Counseling Center for several years providing therapeutic services to individuals and couples. I also performed evaluations and psychological testing at FRCC and have had additional assessment experience while working for Los Angeles Trade Technical College performing learning disability evaluations.
I currently work as a clinical psychologist in private practice in West Los Angeles where I see a diverse client population of women, men, and couples. I believe in using a collaborative and insight-oriented approach to therapy to help people better understand their current situations, patterns of behavior, and origins of problems in order to make conscious changes to better their lives. I help people assess their problems, sort through difficult decisions, and learn how to solve problems more effectively. By bringing awareness and compassion to your thoughts and feelings, you will be able to deepen your understanding of yourself and create more meaningful relationships in your life.
